Hochiki Europe

Hochiki Europe, a global life safety company, recently marked its 30th anniversary of operations in Europe with a significant expansion. Having established its reputation for leading fire detection equipment and systems, the firm purchased a new facility in Chatham, Medway, further reinforcing the area’s reputation for innovative international businesses. The new 24,000 sq ft facility, which represents a £5.5 million investment on a 1.92-acre site, is part of the ongoing strategic expansion of the European arm of the group​.

The new building will ensure that Hochiki has the space to expand its existing operations in warehousing, production, and distribution, as well as its sales and administrative teams. With over 2,000 employees working across six manufacturing plants, 38 sales offices, and 14 subsidiaries globally, Hochiki is a major player in the life safety industry. The new facility will bring additional employment opportunities to the South East, supplementing the 180-strong staff already at the head office in Kent​.
