AllMakes 4x4, a leading supplier of Land Rover parts and accessories, has recently inaugurated its state-of-the-art Distribution Centre in Abingdon. Known for its extensive range of high-quality components, AllMakes 4x4 has partnered with System Store Solutions to equip the new facility with advanced Adjustable Pallet Racking and Pick Shelving systems. This strategic move aims to enhance their logistics efficiency and support continued growth.
AllMakes 4x4 has been a cornerstone in the Land Rover aftermarket parts industry for over 40 years. Founded in 1977, the company quickly grew from a small operation in Oxford to a significant player with a strong global presence. They offer a wide range of parts and accessories, including both genuine and aftermarket options, catering to diverse customer needs worldwide.
With their continued expansion and the acquisition by Britpart, Allmakes 4x4 required a modern, scalable solution to handle increasing demand and streamline their distribution processes. The new Distribution Centre, encompassing 190,000 square feet, needed an efficient storage and retrieval system to maintain their reputation for quick and reliable service​. System Store Solutions was contracted to outfit the new centre with Adjustable Pallet Racking and Pick Shelving. These systems were chosen for their flexibility and capacity to optimise space utilisation. Adjustable Pallet Racking allows for easy customisation to accommodate various pallet sizes, which is essential for managing Allmakes 4x4's extensive inventory. Pick Shelving enhances order picking efficiency, ensuring that parts are readily accessible and reducing fulfilment times.
