System Store Solutions Provides Cutting Edge Storage for the Francis Crick Institute
Founded by six of the UK’s most successful scientific and academic organisations, the Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical discovery institute dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying human health and illness. Working to understand why disease develops, the Crick aims to discover new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, strokes, infections, and neurodegenerative diseases. A flagship for UK biomedical science, the new building located in London sits amid a unique cluster of scientific skill, leading hospitals and some of the world’s top universities. Once the largest single-building construction project in Europe, the one million square foot facility consists of 1500 rooms and four floors of laboratories.
Having conducted a rigorous tender process at the end of 2015, the Francis Crick Institute awarded System Store Solutions a multi-thousand pound contract in February 2016. Installation of our Fami products began in May and the £650 million facility was opened by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in November.
